I’ll admit that my selection process wasn’t as thorough as some people posting in the “which car” thread here. It was primarily based on sentiment and fundamental health analysis based on car sales. I was shortlisted for Creta, Venue and Nexon (all automatic transmissions). The Creta exceeded our budget, but the space in the back felt a little cramped. Based on TBHP, good reviews on YouTube, and some acquaintances, I decided to bet on Nexon (!).

The only question was which turn to take. My wife wanted a car with a sunroof, but was disappointed when she saw the small sunroof on the Nexon. It’s like a sunroof! I would have liked iRA connectivity (I want to keep track of everything at all times!), TPMS, and those options didn’t have a sunroof. So, in the end, I settled on the higher-end version, XZA+O(P).

The two showrooms I visited are both branches of KHT Motors. KHT Domlur dealers were very dissatisfied with selling the car, but I wonder how they would sell an unpopular new car. He couldn’t answer some of my basic questions and couldn’t explain the features of the car very well either. It was almost like reading a book, rather than showing you the meaning of a particular feature.

After reading this thread, I’m confident it will get a total of 40,000-50,000 miles.
As most people in this thread suggested, I visited another showroom (KHT Whitefield). Both the dealer and the manager were excited to sell me the car (which I liked), but they wouldn’t give me a discount. I was able to get about Rs. The corporate discount is 3,000 yen, but that means I (the primary driver) will no longer be covered by PA owner-driver insurance. I told them I would come back later.

The seller didn’t give a discount so I looked online to see if I could get a discount or offer from somewhere. This is where I learned about AckoDrive. TBHP doesn’t have many posts about this. I saw that they are offering a discount of Rs on AckoDrive. We offer an additional January discount of Rs 44,752. 5,000. I was very happy! Now there is no need to haggle at all. I was planning on buying a car without any compromises on the price.
I called the Eco Drive agent 5 or 6 times. The reason why so many calls were needed was because the call center’s network was very poor. Always leave audio. Either the agent can’t hear me or I can’t hear him. Frustrated by this, I asked the agent to email me a letter of recommendation. Any other questions please email me. I searched the internet for genuine reviews of AckoDrive. TBHP wasn’t very helpful here as I could only find one person who booked through TBHP. I found them on another online forum and found some genuine reviews on the AckoDrive Facebook page. In both cases, only the insurance amount would be exempted. No ex-showroom price discounts or dealer cash discounts available. One person claimed a loss of Rs 100 million. I got a 5,000 yen discount because the AckoDriver representative wasn’t clear about who would give the discount (the dealer raised his hand and said he should talk to Acko about the discount, not me). Another person said they don’t offer any support or information if the wait is long (I think that’s ok since they can’t control that). Some people had good experiences.
For some reason, the numbers just didn’t add up for me. Why would they give me Rs? Discount based only on insurance discount 47,752?The insurance premium is not that high, but will you get insurance for free?
P. Both authorized dealers and AckoDrive use increased premium cushions. Although the dealer did insure me initially. 64k, AckoDrive said insurance Rs. 66,895k! It’s easy to offer a “deep discount” when the final price itself is so high.

Q. The agent explains that out of the Rs 66,000 insurance listed, only 1 year OD, 3 years TP, consumables, zero DAPP, PA and passenger cover are provided. Additional insurance (on top of the full quote) must be paid for any other insurance such as Return to Bill, Engine Protection, RSA, etc.
R. I got an insurance quote from Echo’s own website for comparison. The result was Rs. 24,492 (including consumption tax)
So it’s no surprise that they can pay me 1 million rupees. 24,492 = Rs.

In fact, if you get a quote from another insurance company (https://forum/india…mpany-why.html (Thread 2020: Favorite car insurance company and why), it costs just Rs. is. 6k to 10k difference. We got quotes of 28,000 and 30,000 from Rayalasundaram and Tata AIG respectively.

This is very disrespectful to AckoDrive. People usually don’t check the final price on the quote. Assuming the numbers are added correctly. So, when we compare the retail price (Rs. 14,58,806) to the final price of the EcoDrive (Rs. 14,06,295), we feel that the Eco is getting a bigger discount. In fact, in one online review, someone complained that their final price went up after they clicked the “Book Now” button. (Find that review here).
5. Fraudulent practices that display lower final prices on websites. I filed a complaint with customer care to resolve this issue with the website.
P.S.Finally, I booked a car at KHT Whitefield. Surprisingly, they didn’t force me to buy dealer insurance. They said you can get insurance from anywhere.

It started off well and turned out to be a tough joke. I am reminded of an example from 17 years ago. However, the Swift was newly launched and we wanted it, but the waiting time was 3 to 6 months (depending on the dealer and their quota). My father knew an agent from a financial company where we could buy a car, and that agent would take care of all the formalities and provide us with a loan. Many of its agents reside in the NCR. We contacted the dealer, my dad called the dealer on Monday, and we picked up the car at our house on Wednesday in the color and variant of our choice. All loan interest rates were the same as the seller’s price, and the loan and all documentation were then finalized.
